During your first visit, Dr Olsburgh will ask you what you expect from your orthodontic treatment. In this way, he will be able to offer you individualised and adapted treatment.
Is it aesthetic expectations in order to improve your smile or your facial appearance?
Is it functional expectations in order to improve your dental contact?
Is it “prophylactic” expectations in order to facilitate brushing with aligned teeth?
During the consultation, Dr Olsburgh will:
The first visit is an appointment usually lasting 30 minutes. This appointment is held mornings at 11.30 or afternoons at 17.00 or 17.30. The first visit results in estimated costs of Fr. 100.00
When you are ready to begin your treatment, a 2nd and 3rd visit will be scheduled.
The 2nd visit is the appointment for the “orthodontic documentation”. This is a complete assessment with photos, X-rays and dental impressions of your teeth. All these documents are the starting point, which will help Dr Olsburgh to reflect on your treatment according to the wishes you will have expressed.
The 2nd visit is an appointment usually lasting 60 minutes. This appointment is held in the mornings.
The 3rd visit is the appointment for the “discussion”. Dr Olsburgh will discuss with you the treatment, its duration and its cost. In the event that several treatment options are practicable, Dr Olsburgh will discuss the pros and cons of each option with you, so that you can make an informed decision.
The 3rd visit is an appointment usually lasting 30 minutes. This appointment is held in the mornings at 11.30 or afternoons at 17.00 or 17.30.
The 2nd and 3rd visits result in costs. These costs are estimated at Fr. 1,000 to Fr. 1,200. They are the “compulsory step” for planning any orthodontic treatment; these costs are included in the fee estimate that will be explained to you.
Orthodontic treatment requires regular monitoring with appointments every 4 to 6 weeks. These checkups usually last between 20 and 40 minutes.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, we would be grateful if you could notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
It is very important that you continue the checkups and scaling at your dentist at least once a year. Indeed, the wearing of orthodontic devices makes dental hygiene more difficult.
